There's a difference — and the difference is the whole genre.

That single line is the whole product thesis. Cognison is built end-to-end around the assumption that AI composition is the genre — not an exception to it — and the rest of this page is the working out: the upload pipeline, the chart, the provenance surface, the player, the artist profile.

What Cognison is

A streaming surface rebuilt for AI-composed music.

Cognison is a streaming home for AI-composed music. We treat AI composition as a genre — not as a single edge-case tag — and we build the venue around it: the upload pipeline, the chart algorithm, the artist profile, the player, the provenance surface. Where mainstream DSPs have begun tagging AI tracks, we're starting from the assumption that those tracks are the genre and designing every layer of the product accordingly.

→One assumption, applied end-to-end across the platform.
/ starting assumption

AI composition is the genre.

That single assumption drives every layer of the product — the player, the chart, the profile, the licensing surface — instead of being grafted on as a footnote at the edge of someone else's platform.

/ how AI reshapes the craft

Generative tools have turned composition into a process of iteration — prompts, chains, variants, and curation. The shape of an album changed because the shape of a session changed: tracks are not the output of a single take but the output of a long, branching conversation between a musician and a model.

Cognison takes that shape seriously. Every release carries the model, the prompt chain, and the credits; the chart reads mood and genre signal rather than a single AI-tag; the artist profile surfaces the toolchain that produced the work.

Who it serves

Two audiences, one platform.

Cognison is built for two people at once — the artist composing with generative tools and the fan streaming their work. Every surface we ship has to work for both.

For musicians composing with generative tools.

Whether you build with Suno, Udio, a custom diffusion model, or an in-house transformer — Cognison is the venue built around your toolchain, not the surface that apologizes for it.

  • / artists · 01

A profile built around your generative toolchain.

Surface what you actually used — Suno, Udio, custom diffusion, in-house — so the audience that arrives is filtered by craft, not by a single boolean tag.

  • / artists · 02

A publishing pipeline that treats AI output as the primary surface.

Unlimited uploads, stems, drafts, and mark-II variants. No quota for being an edge case.

  • / artists · 03

Charts and discovery that already read generative output.

Placement on a moody ambient chart because the listen signal put you there — not on a generic AI Music shelf.

For fans who want a venue for the genre.

A high-fidelity player and a mood/genre graph that understand generative output, so the cuts you find on Cognison actually fit the kind of listener you are — not the generic AI Music shelf you'd find anywhere else.

  • / listeners · 01

A high-fidelity player for a genre that deserves one.

Cue points, gapless playback, granular scrub, and lossless tiers as the surface — not a checkbox on a generic streaming UI.

  • / listeners · 02

    Discover AI creators end-to-end.

Follow an artist and get the full stream — every track, every variant, every remix — through a mood/genre lens that understands the genre.

Provenance you can read at a glance.

The model, key prompts, and remix lineage are surfaced on every track — transparency as a default, transparency as a baseline.

Provenance & charting

Why provenance and charts are the trust surface.

AI composition is reshaping the credits, the listening graph, and the chart — and the surface that handles those honestly is the surface the genre trusts. Cognison treats both as first-class product surfaces, not footnotes.

Provenance is the record of how a track came to exist — model, prompt chain, remix lineage, and the human credit on top. On Cognison every release carries that record at the level of the player, not behind a tooltip. Listeners should not have to dig to know what made the work; the answer should be on the page.

Charting is how the trust compounds: a chart that ranks by signal — completion rate, save rate, listener-fit, novelty within a mood cluster — is a chart the audience can read. A chart that ranks by platform policy is a chart the audience cannot.

Both are why we built Cognison from scratch. Mainstream DSPs acknowledged AI music with a tag; we're building it with a venue.

/ trust surface

A track you can verify, on a chart you can read.

Provenance and charting together are how an AI-composed catalog earns the trust of the audience that streams it. Cognison runs both as defaults — never as opt-in.

How it works

A short paragraph on the trust we're building.

An artist uploads a track — stems, drafts, masters, mark-II variants — and Cognison fingerprints the generative model, surfaces the prompt chain, ML-tags mood and genre at ingest, and routes the release into the mood/genre chart on day one. Listeners stream the cut through a player that reads the same listen/save signal every DSP reads, see the provenance on the page, and follow the artist into every variant and remix of the same line of work. No quota, no “AI content” filter, no edge-case gate — just a genre, treated as a genre.

    Upload + fingerprint

Stems, drafts, masters, mark-II variants land in the same queue. Cognison fingerprints the generative model at ingest.

  2. / 02
    Tag + rank

Mood and genre ML apply the tags. The release lands on the mood/genre chart on day one — not weeks later after a manual review.

  3. / 03
    Surface + stream

Listeners find the cut through the mood/genre graph, see the provenance, and follow the artist into every variant on the same lineage.
